Through living out our Christian Values we become reflective, thoughtful, resilient individuals with a passion for learning. We are a community in which wellbeing and consideration for others is at the heart of the choices we make."
As a Church of England Primary School, we have six core Christian values which we teach, follow and celebrate. These weave through our whole curriculum.

Generosity We know that giving and sharing selflessly is important as we work together within school and our community. We aim to help others by doing our best to share our time, thoughts and kindness with all.

Agape At North Somercotes we treat everyone with the respect and care we all have the right to. We value friendships and support each other celebrating our achievements.

Servanthood We are dedicated at North Somercotes to caring for our school and the world around us. We recognise our roles in protecting our environment, making better choices for the future.

Peace We value reflection in our school, reflecting on our actions, our learning and our emotions. We understand the importance of peace and strive to instil a peaceful atmosphere within our school.

Justice In our school, we are all equal and all deserve the same opportunities. We respect our school and resolve conflicts restoratively.

Forgiveness When facing conflicts, we resolve our differences using restorative practice. We respect others’ views, having the humility to recognise our mistakes as well as the courage to forgive.

These values are explored both in class and in Collective Worship. At the end of each term a child from each class who embodies our values will be selected as a Values Champion. This is celebrated in our Superstars Assembly. The gallery below celebrates all our Values Champions.
