Our School
North Somercotes Church of England Primary School was founded in 1691. Fortunately we are no longer based in the original buildings, but have occupied a new site since 1992. In recent years the school was grant-maintained but in September 1999 this status was altered to Foundation.
In September 1997, the newly-built library/classroom became operational, together with excellent nursery facilities.
In September 2003, two new classrooms and a computer suite with 30 work stations was added to the school buildings.
In September 2006, a modern kitchen area was provided to enable the production of on-site hot school dinners for the first time in over 25 years. |
Children from the surrounding villages travel to and from school on the buses provided by the County Council.
The school also has its own minibuses which transport children from other areas into the school. |
